Welcome to the Division of Music website. If you have browsed around the website you
may have noticed the phrase “Discover the Ouachita Difference.” At Ouachita Baptist
University we are proud of the fact that our university is making a difference in
the world around us. The Division of Music has a long standing record of excellence
in both the academic and performance areas of music. Accredited by the National Association
of Schools of Music for over 58 years, the Division has historically produced outstanding
leaders and performers in a multitude of arenas in the musical world. I am proud of
our current students who carry on this tradition of excellence in the classroom, recital
hall, and concert stage. I hope you will take a few minutes to browse around and listen to recordings of our ensembles, take a look at our upcoming concert calendar, explore the various music degrees, or visit our Facebook or X (formerly Twitter) page for up-to-the-minute activity. If you are a prospective student looking to “make a difference” through your musical talents, then you have come to the right place. Our music program will challenge you, develop you, encourage you, and invest in you as a person and musician. Come visit our campus and “Discover the Ouachita Difference.” |
